Diablo II Resurrected – Ladder Season 13 & Reign of the Warlock

Ladder Season 13 in Diablo II: Resurrected kicked off on February 20, 2026 — and this time it hit different. With the Reign of the Warlock DLC, the game received its biggest update ever: a brand-new class, new items, sets, runewords, and a completely reworked endgame.

The Warlock brings three distinct skill trees to the table: Demon (enslaving hellspawn as allies), Eldritch (empowering weapons with dark magic), and Chaos (raining fire and shadow from afar). After 25 years of the same seven classes, having a fresh playstyle to explore in the Ladder race was incredibly exciting.

On top of that, Blizzard added customizable Loot Filters, improved Stash Tabs with dedicated slots for gems, runes, and materials, and an account-wide Chronicle system that tracks all collected items. Terror Zones also got a rework — you now choose where to fight and how to progress, making farming feel much more intentional.

The ultimate challenge? The Colossal Ancients — a revamped endgame encounter designed to push even the most optimized builds to their limits.

As someone who's been playing D2 on and off since the original release, this DLC genuinely feels like the update the game deserved. The Ladder grind is back in full force.
